We're moving dirt!
Horizontal construction on Firefly Park began in June; since then, we've made immense progress on our 217-acre project. Kicking off this we also received great news from the city as a few preliminary site plans received approval!
Park Groundwork
From clearing and grading the land to ground moisture conditioning, prep work is underway on the 42-acre park that is the crown jewel of our development. The land is being cleared and graded, and the ground is being conditioned to optimize moisture levels. A key focus has been on deepening and revitalizing the five natural ponds by removing years of debris, dead vegetation, and other obstructions. In the coming weeks, this work will continue, setting the stage for what will become a vibrant recreational space. Featuring family-friendly playgrounds, meandering trails, scenic ponds with fountains, and viewing decks, the park will offer a serene retreat for both residents and visitors, showcasing the beauty of the Texas landscape.
Utility Infrastructure
We’re collaborating closely with the Frisco Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to commence crucial utility work. This includes the installation of duct banks, utility lines crossing the breezeway, and sewer infrastructure. These projects began in early July and will continue through the end of September.
What Lies Ahead?
As Kyle Wilks, CEO of Wilks Development, often says, “It’s hard to predict the future,” but since breaking ground in April 2024, we’ve made tremendous strides—and this momentum will continue to drive the project forward.
The infrastructure for Phase I of Firefly Park is projected to be completed by the end of Q2 2025, with the full completion of Phase I slated for Q2 2027. This initial phase includes the luxury Dream Hotel, which will be connected to an office tower, townhomes, high-rise and mid-rise apartments, and commercial and cultural spaces. Phase II will immediately follow, continuing the transformation of this dynamic community.
